Joe Cantaffa

Joe Cantaffa is the Director/Arranger of The RockNRoll Chorus, the all-star group of high-school-age singers/recording artists, who tour nationally performing an a cappella rock-music stage show. Originating in 2007, RNRC has performed over 500 shows all over the USA and has opened for, and sang with, huge artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Sara Barielles, Journey, Foreigner, Jefferson Airplane, Judy Collins, Jay Leno, Gavin DeGraw, and many more. For the past 24 years, he has been an instructor for the Music, Video & Production (MVP) program in the Fine and Performing Arts Center (F.P.A.C.) located within Howell High School (NJ), teaching Music Production, Theory, Performance, Music Industry and Live Event Support. Joe is a member of the Board of Directors for the New Jersey Music Educators’ Association and is the Production Manager/Coordinating Chairman for NJMEA’s All-State Chorus/Orchestra/Jazz/Band/Modern Band program. Throughout the year, he presents in-service workshops and lectures around New Jersey and the United States regarding music curriculum, contemporary a cappella music, (healthy) vocal percussion, and the use of technology in the music classroom. Joe has previously been on the faculty for the Westminster School of the Arts/Rider University, teaching Tour Management to the Arts Administration majors. Joe holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University in Music, a Master’s Degree from Mason Gross School of the Arts in Music Education, and is a voting member of The Grammy® Awards/RIAA.
